2008 Ended Rough
So, I didn’t get to enjoy the Holidays after all and ended up in Hospital on December the 22nd having Heart Surgery.
I am only just starting to come back into myself after weeks of pain and pain-killers.
Believe it or not, my chest is held together with steel wire for now.
Actually, I am a bit nervous that they may have just gone with Duct Tape, what with the economy and all, so I am being a bit more careful than usual.
Truth is, I am feeling a little bit better every day - so with luck I’ll be good as new by April 01: Opening Day of Trout Season.

Hope you're feeling better there buddy. Get well soon Steve, and give the fish hell in 2009!
Thanks Jean-Paul,
Feeling optimistic about the upcoming season. Got a few hoops still to jump through- about 12 weeks of rehab-but that puts me on my feet and flinging flies just as the best of dry-fly season is beginning.
Your site is looking great. I'm saving my pennies for a couple of your new stickers. Great stuff.
Cheers,
Steve
Was waiting for reports of good fishing ...... so sad to read you have been unwell , hope you get back on the rivers soon .
All the very best..... Tony.
Thanks Tony,
Your well wishes are gladly accepted.
I'm on the mend and should be good about the time the weather gets fit as well.
Really enjoyed the photos of your day on the Beck.
Cheers,
Steve
Steve, don't knock duct tape as it is also called 100mph tape. be glad they didn't use galvanised wire. Sorry to hear about you ill health. It sucks being sick. I have dengue fever right now and have at least four more days to go with it. Not as bad as your heart but it all sucks the same. I am positive you will be flicking flies in no time. Take care of your self. We are all pulling for you.
Cheers
FW
Steve:
Better days ahead, that's for sure. I'll be in town next week Wed and Thursday nights at the Lord Nelson Hotel. Perhaps we could get together?
RP
Thanks for your concern Fish Whisperer.
Dengue Fever? Sounds like we will both be a few pounds lighter come spring. Get well soon.
Cheers,
Steve
Hi RP,
Give me a shout when you get into town and we will get together.
Cheers,
Steve
