An old-fashioned trout’ing trip is one of the best experiences of the sporting life. From the pre-dawn rendezvous to the noon meal prepared on an open fire, every aspect adds to the savour of the day.

The May long weekend pretty well marks the beginning of the dry fly season - It is also the beginning of Spring after the traditional disappointment of April, with its promise filled days as likely to degenerate into blustery Nor’ Easters as not.
